Is Your Keyboard Dirtier Than a Toilet Seat?

In a recent story published by the BBC News on May 1, 2008, the consumer group Which? found that keyboards were a potential health hazard, harbouring five times more germs than the office toilet set.

YUCK!

“If you look at what grows on computer keyboards, and hospitals are worse, believe it or not, it’s more or less a reflection of what’s in your nose and in your gut,” Dr. Wilson, a consultant microbiologist at University College London Hospital said.

As soon as I read this article, I shut down all my computers and ran around the office scrubbing with antibacterial wipes.  When’s the last time you did the same?

Many of us spend more time at work than in our own homes.  Use good office hygiene:  clean those keyboards!
