Finally! Some good news about coffee? (maybe)

Well, it’s a very preliminary study, but for all you coffee drinkers (like me) it’s good news. Researchers in Grand Forks, North Dakota have determined that chronic caffeine intake blocked the negative effects on the blood brain barrier (BBB) caused by a high cholesterol diet.
Implications?!? Well, a breakdown in the BBB has been implicated in neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke. Stop the breakdown, perhaps stop the disorders.
Okay, okay. The study was done on rabbits and it’s preliminary, but it’s still good news.
